This series of mixed media paintings on linen uses pencil,acrylic, oil paint, oil stick and collage. Some of the paintings include pencil figure drawings to create visual texture. I was listening to the Alabama Shakes album Sound and Color when I started this series. Some of the songs on the album have a spacey feeling to them, and the paintings kept developing an outer space or alien creature feel to them.
