While most of my work is mixed media, an inflexible surface like clay board allows me to add more material until the surface becomes three dimensional. I often use thread, yarn, twine or cassette tape to "draw" lines. The pieces also sometimes incorporate figure drawing or stencils drawn in pencil. Some of the paintings incorporate collage, a variety of acrylic mediums, and watercolor. I am always striving to create an interesting surface while maintaining a strong composition.
