2019, mixed media on board, 24 x 36"

This piece was inspired by a Mark Bradford show I saw in LA at the Hauser Wirth gallery.  At the show, I sketched in ink on 5 x7 sheets of clear yupo paper, one sheet for each painting.  These abstract drawings of abstract paintings were then incorporated into MB directly.  In addition to the sketches, the piece includes other pencil drawings, several types of acrylic paste, cardboard, rice paper, painted deli paper, and hemp twine.
