Love on the Brain

2017, Oil on linen, 36 x 48"

Painting begins with a layer of acrylic on linen, followed by lots of pencil drawing.  Layers of oil paint then alternate with more drawing.  The initial inspiration for the painting was from a drawing I did at the Tom Sachs show "Space Program: Europa".   Painting title comes from the Rihanna song.
