"Imaginary Atlas 9" and "Imaginary Atlas 11" are both 16 x 16" mixed media paintings on cradled board. Each has acrylic, watercolor, cold wax, and collage. The first collage elements are torn up maps of London which are both in the very bottom layer and largely obscured by paint, and also in a layer closer to the top, revealing the bright color. The second set of collage elements are econometric notes from a previous life. I used the collage elements to form maps of an imaginary world.
